[Serie A] Lazio - Genoa = 3 - 1

Lazio beat Genoa 3-1 thanks to goals from Pedro, Francesco Acerbi and Mattia Zaccagni in the Italian Serie A match which took place at the Stadio Olimpico, Rome. This result places Lazio temporarily in the eighth position with 28 points from 18 matches, while Genoa is in the bottom two positions with 10 points.

Ciro Immobile was sidelined so Felipe Anderson had to be assigned as a False 9, while Sergej Milinkovic-Savic returned to play after being banned from playing.

Meanwhile, from the Genoa side led by Andriy Shevchenko, Mattia Destro has returned to the starting XI.  However, two former Lazio players, Felipe Caicedo and Mohamed Fares were ruled out due to injury along with Nicolo Rovella and Nikola Maksimovic.

Lazio finally succeeded in doubling their lead in the 75th minute.  It was Francesco Acerbi who broke into the opponent's goal through his header, continuing Luis Alberto's corner.

Lazio's advantage then widened in the 81st minute.  This time, it was Mattia Zaccagni who managed to score, after passing the opposing defender and releasing a kick.

Unfortunately, it resulted in the Lazio players being off guard.  Genoa managed to reduce the gap, through Filippo Melegoni's kick in the 86th minute.  However, Lazio can maintain the advantage until the match ended with a score of 3-1.
