Sarri Hold A Meeting Again With All The Players After Defeat To Sassuolo
Lazio coach, Maurizio Sarri has reportedly postponed his team's training which was due to take place on Monday (13/12) local time, and expressed disappointment after the defeat to Sassuolo in Sunday's Serie A match (12/12).
Lazio president, Claudio Lotito was reportedly unhappy after his team lost 2-1 to Alessio Dionisi's side at the Mapei Stadium, which meant extending the Biancoceleste's poor run of results. Maurizio Sarri's side has won just one of their last five matches in all competitions and will face Porto in a Europa League play-off in February.
The Aquile finished second in the group after a goalless draw against Galatasaray in the last game of the group stage before losing to Sassuolo. The president has reportedly started to lose patience with the players who are still struggling to adapt to Sarri's new formation and the coach decided to cancel Monday's training session and decided to hold a meeting with his players.
According to reports by Calciomercato, Sarri held a meeting with his team after the defeat at Reggio-Emilia but president Lotito was not present for the meeting which lasted for an hour and a half.
Meanwhile, the capital team still has two games left before the winter break with host Genoa on 17 December and a trip to Venice on 22 December. They are currently ninth in the Serie A standings with 25 points from 17 matches played.
