Lazio Currently Has The Most Conceded Goals Since 1957/58
Lazio has conceded 29 goals in their first 15 Serie A games this season, their worst since 1957/58. So far Maurizio Sarri's team has shown how fragile their defense is.
As reported by the Italian newspaper, La Gazetta dello Sport, the 4-4 draw against Udinese is proof of the weakness of Lazio's defense at the start of the 2021/22 season. Maurizio Sarri's side has conceded 29 goals so far this season.
The Biancoceleste lost by a landslide to Bologna 3-0, 4-1 to Hellas Verona and 4-0 lost to Napoli, this is their worst defensive record at the start of the league competition since the 1957/58 season when they conceded 31 goals after 15 opening match in Serie A.
Only two teams this season have conceded more goals than the Aquile in their first 15 matches, namely Spezia who are in 17th place with 34 goals, and Salernitana who currently sits bottom of the table, in 20th place with 31 goals. While other teams that have also conceded 29 goals are Cagliari, Genoa, and Sampdoria.
Although Sarri's stats are not bad after their opening 15 matches, they are the same as Simone Inzaghi's last season, which was six wins, four draws, and five defeats scored 23 goals and conceded 24 goals to put them in the ninth position.
Whereas in this 2021/22 season after 15 matches, The Aquile have recorded six wins, four draws, and five defeats by scoring 29 goals and conceding 29 goals, and occupying the ninth position in Serie A.
