Keita Balde Is Linked With Lazio Once Again
The name of the Cagliari striker has again been linked to the biancoceleste club that is looking for an alternative to Immobile for the attack
Before starting market operations, Lazio will have to resolve the block imposed by the liquidity index. But the club is already moving. From this point of view, the release of some players would resolve a critical issue that is back in the spotlight after last summer.
The player destined to leave Formello should be Manuel Lazzari who up to now has never been able to make a decisive contribution to Maurizio Sarri's technical project. The sale of the former Spal full-back could restart the Lazio market which is looking for at least a left-back and a forward in place of the Kosovar Vedat Muriqi.
Among the names circulating for the attack, there is also that of Keita Balde, a former Biancoceleste footballer currently at Cagliari. Cagliari has included the player on the transfer list.
It is not the first time that the name of Keita Balde is compared to Lazio. Even a couple of seasons ago, the forward had been approached by the Lazio team.
The sale of Keita to Monaco in the summer of 2017 guaranteed Lazio a significant capital gain. But from then on, the promising striker got lost, failing to meet the expectations of the clubs. The experiences at Inter, Sampdoria, and Cagliari have not been fully satisfactory.
By the time he is 26, Keita could retrace the same path as Felipe Anderson. In the last few hours, the player has again been approached by Lazio, who would find a player able to play both as a central striker and as a winger. Before considering the possibility of welcoming Keita Balde back to Formello, Lazio will have to resolve the blockade of the market.
