[Serie A] Napoli - Lazio = 4 - 0

Napoli confirmed their position at the top of the Serie A 2021/2022 standings. That was after Il Partenopei beat Lazio 4-0.

Napoli host Lazio at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, Naples, in the 14th week of the Italian League. The hosts appeared to dominate from the start.

In the first half, Napoli immediately led 3-0. Each goal was scored by a Dries Mertens brace and a goal from Piotr Zielinski.

Even so, Lazio can still occasionally press Napoli. Several threats were spread through Luis Alberto and Ciro Immobile but did not produce results.

In the second half, Napoli still dominated Lazio. Mertens and his team presented many opportunities.

Lazio was practically not given a chance by Napoli in the second half. Their net shook again in the 85th minute, after Fabian Ruiz was able to maximize Giovanni Di Lorenzo's pass into a goal. The 4-0 score lasted until the game was finished.

The win keeps Napoli firmly at the top of the Serie A table with 35 points from 14 games, three ahead of AC Milan, who had lost to Sassuolo just hours earlier. While Lazio slipped to 8th position with 21 points.
