Lotito: "I'm The President Of Lazio, Therefore There's No Doubt That Next Sunday I Will Support The Team I Have At The Olimpico"

Lazio president, Claudio Lotito has no doubts about which club he will support in the next match against Salernitana which will take place on Sunday (07/11) evening local time at the Stadio Olimpico.

Claudio Lotito besides being the owner of Lazio and Salernitana until the end of last season before his second club was promoted to Serie A. Because the FIGC does not allow two clubs to be owned by the same person, he has to give up the Granata for sale.  Until now he is still reluctant to provide further information about the development of sales.

"I don't want to talk about it because the sale is ongoing based on the modalities set by the FIGC and I have to stay out of the way as the regulations dictate," the president said via La Citta.

The president of the Biancoceleste expressed his displeasure at regulations forcing him to sell the Granata after the club was promoted to Serie A.

"Say I am sorry for the many words that have erased everything that has been done for Salernitana at this time, among all, playing in Serie A."

"I haven't been back there since last June, they have forgotten all the good things there for sure because my name is in the book of bad guys."

"But I will still be on my way."

Lotito finally mentioned this weekend's match between the Biancoceleste and the Granata.

"Until it's proven otherwise I'm the president of Lazio, therefore there's no doubt that next Sunday I will support the team I have at the Olimpico, I will support Lazio even though they have taken Salernitana from me…"

The Aquile president bought the Granata in the summer of 2011 and revived the club which started competing from Serie D. He monitored the team's growth and regularly loaned out several players from the Biancoceleste such as key players such as Thomas Strakosha and Luiz Felipe.

The latest FIGC regulations prohibit a person from owning two professional clubs in the same division so he is given the opportunity until the end of this year to sell the club.
