Botheim Flattered By Lazio's Interest
Bodo/Glimt striker Erik Botheim is reportedly pleased with Lazio's interest in him and says he is ready to move forward. The Italian capital club is reportedly looking for a new backup striker.
According to reports by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Lazio is looking for a new backup striker in the January transfer window and one of the most interesting names on director Igli Tare's list is Erik Botheim.
The 21-year-old Norwegian striker is reportedly aware of Biancoceleste's interest in him and appreciates the attention shown by Maurizio Sarri's side. Botheim feels ready to take another step forward and prove himself ready to play in even tougher league competitions.
The striker's contract with Bodo/Glimt expires in December 2022, which makes the January transfer window the perfect time to sell him for a suitable price.
Botheim's transfer value is estimated at around 10 million Euros, a price that is considered quite affordable for The Aquile even though they must first resolve the Vedat Muriqi situation. New clubs must be found to accommodate the 27-year-old striker from Kosovo, one of which is a return to his former club, Fenerbahce on loan.
