Allegri: "Sarri Is A Great Coach And That Is Proven By The Results He Has Achieved."
Massimiliano Allegri praised Maurizio Sarri's work at Lazio, ahead of accompanying Juventus to the Stadio Olimpico in the Serie A match, Saturday (20/11).
Allegri will meet his old rival in the Giornata 13th match Serie A, but now by facing a different team.
From 2015 to 2018, Maurizio Sarri's Napoli were Massimiliano Allegri's main rivals. Although always managed to bring Juventus out as champions in that period, Allegri was always amazed by Sarri's performance, which was indelible even though the former Chelsea coach was now in charge of the Biancoceleste.
"Sarri has given Lazio regularity. He has technical players like Milinkovic-Savic, Pedro, and Luis Alberto," Allegri said at a press conference on Friday (11/19) yesterday.
"They are organized, so we need to play well technically and defend well. Sarri is a great coach and that is proven by the results he has achieved."
It was the first meeting between the two coaches since Sarri moved to Chelsea in 2018, before becoming Allegri's successor at Juve a year later.
The Bianconeri are in eighth place in the Serie A standings with 18 points from 12 matches, three points behind the Capital Eagles who are three places above them.
Meetings between Sarri and Allegri usually fight for the Scudetto. Although now only competing for the top four, Allegri still considers this match important.
