Zaccagni Ready To Play Against Inter Milan After Recover From Injury
Lazio midfielder, Mattia Zaccagni is reportedly able to fully recover ahead of the match against Simone Inzaghi's team, Inter Milan in Serie A which will take place after the international break.
According to reports by Italian radio Lazio Style Radio, 26-year-old Italian midfielder Mattia Zaccagni suffered a thigh muscle injury during the Biancoceleste's 2-2 draw at Cagliari last month and has since been sidelined and has been forced to miss three Serie A games in a row.
The news further revealed that the midfielder had returned to training with the main squad at Formello on Wednesday (06/10) local time yesterday and now the Biancoceleste hope he is fit enough to play against Inter Milan on 16 October after the international break ends.
The 26-year-old, who signed for The Aquile from Hellas Verona last summer, has made three appearances so far under coach Maurizio Sarri but has yet to start a Serie A game.
Zaccagni's return allows Sarri to rotate his two wingers after Felipe Anderson and Pedro proved crucial earlier this season. Before the international break, The Aquile lost to the host's Bologna with a score of 3-0 which left their position still in sixth place in the Serie A standings. Until the seventh week, the Biancoceleste had collected 11 points.
