[Serie A] Bologna - Lazio = 3 - 0
Lazio had to surrender 0-3 away to Bologna in Serie A matchday seven at the Renato Dall'Ara Stadium on Sunday. The home team's three goals were scored by Musa Barrow, Arthur Theate, and Aaron Hickey.
Lazio played quite well in the early minutes of the match. However, some of their efforts are still not able to produce goals. Too focused on attacking, Lazio conceded in the 14th minute through Musa Barrow's right-footed shot from outside the penalty box which could not be stopped by veteran goalkeeper Pepe Reina. Score 1-0 to Bologna.
Three minutes later Bologna successfully doubled the advantage. Arthur Theate listed his name on the scoreboard after his header from close range succeeded in breaking into Pepe Reina's goal. 2-0 to the hosts. Score 2-0 for the host advantage lasted until halftime.
Entering the second half, Lazio was increasingly confined by Bologna players. Bologna further increased the gap by scoring the third goal in the 68th minute through Aaron Hickey's shot on the left side of the penalty box. The score becomes 3-0.
In the 75th minute, Lazio got disastrous after Francesco Acerbi got a second yellow card. The superior number of players made Bologna continue to attack the Italian capital team, but there were no additional goals until the match was over.
This result keeps Lazio in 6th position in the Serie A standings with 11 points from 8 matches. While Bologna is ranked 9th with the same points, but lost on goal difference.
