Patric: "We Have To Believe Until The End That We Are A Strong Team. But Also We Must Always Be Grounded, Stay Humble."
Lazio defender, Patric said he was happy with his team's 3-1 victory over the visitors, Inter Milan in Serie A on Saturday (16/10) at the Stadio Olimpico. He thanked coach Maurizio Sarri's trust in him to start the match.
Patric was interviewed by Italian radio, Lazio Style Radio after the game, the 28-year-old defender was the first to comment on the game against the Nerazzuri.
"Congratulations to the team, it's a team of mature people because it's not easy to react after a defeat and conceding a goal early on," he said.
"We have to believe until the end that we are a strong team and can do great things.
"However, not only against Roma and Inter but also against Bologna we must always be grounded and create a winning mentality, stay humble."
Furthermore, the Biancoceleste defender discussed his team's performance in the match and Inter who continued to intimidate the defense.
"They were very good at the back, structured, but I was confident and managed to do a corner which resulted in the equalizer," he explained.
The 28-year-old Spanish defender discussed his relationship with coach Maurizio Sarri.
"Sarri's trust was very important, he immediately let me know that he was beside me in a strange personal situation, but at the moment I am happy," he said.
The defender has been in impressive form since Maurizio Sarri's arrival last summer, the Spaniard being praised for his tactical flexibility and high-level performance.
