Marusic: "Central Defender? It's Not My Decision, But If I Have To Do It Then I'm Ready."
Lazio full-back, Adam Marusic highlighted the consistency of his team ahead of the match against Hellas Verona in Serie A which will take place on Sunday (24/10) at the Stadio Bentegodi.
Adam Marusic said he was happy with his position in Maurizio Sarri's squad ahead of the match against Hellas Verona. The 29-year-old full-back from Montenegro remembers his debut goal in Serie A against the Gialloblu five years ago.
"I indeed scored my first goal at the Bentegodi," he said via LaLazioSiamoNoi.
"I have grown a lot, I have been here for five years, I think we will get a good result tomorrow."
Furthermore, the full-back commented on the importance of the capital team finding consistency.
"Every day we try to improve on this, in Bologna we lost, we wanted to win, we will try to do it."
He then discussed Lazio's match against Verona which was predicted to be a fierce battle on the wings.
"Yes, they have a lot of strong players there," he said.
"We just played last Thursday, we have to recover and play well to win."
Marusic is likely to play at center-back as the two main center-backs, Francesco Acerbi and Luiz Felipe are serving suspensions due to red cards and he said he is ready to do so.
"It's not my decision, but if I have to do it then I'm ready."
Finally, the defender discussed the awareness of the Biancoceleste squad working under Sarri.
"We all see that we can do well, we work every day, we'll see what happens next."
