Parolo Discusses Lazio's Rapid Progress After Being Handled By Maurizio Sarri

Former Lazio midfielder, Marco Parolo discussed the rapid progress the Italian capital club has made under their new coach, Maurizio Sarri, who took over at the start of last summer.

Marco Parolo discussed the rapid progress experienced by his former team, Lazio since being handled by coach Maurizio Sarri through an interview with an Italian newspaper, La Gazetta Dello Sport. He mentioned how the Biancocelesti squad was able to adapt well to the system implemented by the 62-year-old coach.

“Lazio is an open building that goes fast.

"They have functional players and with the new signing, Zaccagni, an important addition because he is a player who can get on the pitch."

The Aquile have brought in several new players this summer to strengthen Maurizio Sarri's options and their most recent two signings are midfielders Mattia Zaccagni from Hellas Verona and Toma Basic from Bordeaux.

The Italian capital club started the 2021/22 season well, beating Empoli 3-1 in their opener before thrashing Spezia 6-1 last weekend. Next, they will face AC Milan on 12 September after the international break.

Sarri's thinking and system are considered complex so it takes time for his squad to adapt. The 62-year-old coach now has a variety of attractive attacking options that will perfect his 4-3-3 system.
