Lotito Hopes To Help Lazio Improve Even More After The Market Closes
Lazio's president, Claudio Lotito stated that his team has done their job in this summer's transfer window to give Maurizio Sarri a team with tremendous potential that is expected to help them improve.
Lazio has signed Elseid Hysaj from Napoli, Toma Basic from Girodins de Bordeaux, Felipe Anderson from West Ham, and Mattia Zaccagni from Hellas Verona. Club president Claudio Lotito said he did not want to evaluate the transfer market but hoped he had done enough to help his team improve.
"I don't want to judge the market, I'm not used to it and I'm not the one who has to show it," said the president as quoted by Football-Italia.
"We will see what they will do on the pitch, we hope what we do is appropriate and works to achieve the targets we have set."
"I think we've done our job also taking into account general market trends."
Meanwhile, Maurizio Sarri's side has started the season with big wins over Empoli and Spezia to take them to the top of Serie A this international break.
"For us, it's a team game, a team win, let's see what has been done, what will come of it and what can be done in the future," said Lotito.
"I'm not going to make technical decisions, it's all about improving, making good use of it, our target is to make the team's potential fully available to the coach.
"To provide a team that has the greatest potential for the coach to achieve certain targets, sometimes on the field the results are different from what was expected."
