Versus Spezia, Lazio Is Ready To Welcome The Presence Of 30,000 Fans At The Olimpico
Lazio will reportedly welcome around 30,000 fans to the Stadio Olimpico for their first Serie A home match against Spezia this weekend.
According to reports reported by Italian media, LazioNews24, the last time the Stadio Olimpico was filled with Lazio fans was on February 29, 2020, when the Roma club beat Bologna 2-0.
While this year for the Biancoceleste's first home match in the 2021/22 Serie A season against Spezia, it is reported that around 32,000 fans will enter the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday (28/08) evening local time. Ticket sales aimed at season ticket holders have started Monday local time and sales to the public will begin this Wednesday.
All fans in attendance must show their green cards proving they have been vaccinated twice to enter the stadium which will be filled to 50 percent of capacity according to regulations laid down by the Italian government.
While The Aquile's squad and coach Maurizio Sarri have discussed the importance of having fans back in the stadium after last weekend's 3-1 win over Empoli and their return to Rome will surely provide an added boost to the squad.
Previously at Empoli, as many as 1,500 fans of the Italian capital club were allowed to attend the match which took place at the Stadio Castellani in the opening Serie A match which took place last Saturday night.
