[Serie A] Lazio - Spezia = 6 - 1

Lazio performed brilliantly when they hosted Spezia in the second week of Serie A 2021/2022.  The Biancoceleste won 6-1 through Ciro Immobile's hat-trick.

In the match at the Olimpico, Saturday (28/8/2021) night, Lazio got left behind by Spezia in the fourth minute.  Daniele Verde released a measured kick into the corner of Pepe Reina's goal.

A minute later Lazio responded through Ciro Immobile's hard shot on the right after receiving Pedro Rodriguez's measured pass.

Lazio took the lead in the 15th minute through Immobile's second goal which shot the ball from outside the box, thanks to a cross from Luis Alberto.

Winning 2-1 makes Lazio more intense pressing Spezia's defense.  Immobile had a penalty in the first minute of first-half injury time but failed because it was pushed over by Spezia's goalkeeper.

However, Immobile was finally able to break into Spezia's goal from the corner after that.  Luis Alberto's bait from a corner was headed in front of goal.

Two minutes after the break, Lazio increased their advantage to 4-1 through Felipe Anderson who met Pepe Reina's long ball and finished it with a shot into the right corner of the goal.

Spezia had to play with 10 men after Kevin Almian was sent off in the 54th minute.  Lack of players makes it more difficult for Spezia to keep up with Lazio's game.

Lazio's fifth goal came in the 70th minute when Luis Alberto's through ball was received by Elseid Hysaj.  After beating the keeper, Hysaj found Spezia's net with a hard kick from close range.

Luis Alberto did not miss to score in the 85th minute and made the score 6-1 because a measured shot from outside the penalty box headed into the right corner of the goal.

Lazio won 6-1 and gave coach Maurizio Sarri a sweet home debut.  Lazio temporarily tops the standings with six points, ahead on goal difference from Inter Milan in second place.

As Spezia is in 12th position with one point.
