[OFFICIAL] Rocchi Extends Contract As Lazio U18 Head Coach

Lazio U-18 head coach, Tommaso Rocchi has reportedly extended his contract for another year.  The coach previously also had a career as a player with the Italian capital team for nine seasons.

As announced by Tommaso Rocchi's agent, Mario de Rossi via his official Instagram said that the 43-year-old Italian coach will continue his tenure as head coach of the Lazio U-18 team for another year by signing a one-year contract extension that binds him with the Italian capital club until 2022. 

The former Biancoceleste striker, who spent nine years of his playing career at the Roma club from 2004 to 2013 and was appointed head coach of the Under-18s last year and has produced impressive results in his first year in charge, averaging 1.25 per game.  During his career as a Biancoceleste player, he has made 293 appearances in total and scored 105 goals in all competitions.

Last season Lazio U-18s finished seventh in the Campionato Nazionale under-18s in the 2020/21 season after collecting 25 points.  The Rome-based club finished their campaign last season with six wins, seven draws, and seven defeats by beating AC Milan U18s and Fiorentina U18s.  While city rivals Roma U18 finished in second place last season so Rocchi will try to reduce the gap between the two teams this season.
