Lazio President Will Meet Maurizio Sarri To Discuss Transfers
Lazio president, Claudio Lotito is rumored to be holding a meeting with coach Maurizio Sarri to discuss this summer's transfer market in the next few days.
As reported by the Italian newspaper Corriere Dello Sport, Saturday (07/08) is the last day of Lazio's pre-season training session in Marienfeld, Germany and they will face Dutch club FC Twente in a friendly match which took place Saturday evening local time to complete the pre-season stage two.
Coach Maurizio Sarri, apart from explaining and testing his tactics on the pitch with the squad, is also discussing with the Biancocelesti management his particular request to strengthen the Biancoceleste squad ahead of the 2021/22 season.
After completing the pre-season training program in Marienfeld, Sarri is scheduled to hold a meeting with Claudio Lotito to discuss the transfer market, their situation, and also their targets for this season.
The main goal is to solve their problems with liquidity ratios that prevent them from registering new players. One way is to sell one of Felipe Caicedo, Vedat Muriqi, Denis Vavro, and Patric this month.
In addition, Mohamed Fares also seems to be able to be released because it is considered not suitable for the team's plan. Joaquin Correa has also been linked with a transfer to another club with Inter, Everton, and Leicester City all reportedly interested in his services this summer.
Sarri will eventually ask the club to accelerate their efforts to bring in new players, with Toma Basic from Bordeaux and Filip Kostic from Eintracht Frankfurt being his main targets.
