Kostic Is Complicated, Lazio Interested In Julian Brandt Service Again
Lazio is reportedly rekindling their interest in signing Borussia Dortmund winger, Julian Brandt to avoid problems regarding the allocation of non-EU players in their squad.
As reported by the Italian newspaper, La Repubblica, Lazio's main target in the attacking position this month is Eintracht Frankfurt winger, Filip Kostic, but the fact that the player does not have an EU passport makes his transfer even more complicated due to the limited quota of non-EU players in the Biancoceleste squad.
There are only two quotas for non-EU players in The Aquile squad and one of them has been filled by Brazilian winger Felipe Anderson. While the other is still empty because the club from Rome did not include Serbian defender Dimitrije Kamenovic in their squad list.
However, the 21-year-old has stated he will not be moving anywhere this month claiming he is guaranteed a guarantee. If The Aquile register Kamenovic then they certainly cannot include Filip Kostic in their squad.
As a result, to avoid this problem, the Italian capital club revived their interest in signing Julian Brandt who was considered to be suitable for the 4-3-3 system implemented by coach Maurizio Sarri.
Brandt joined Borussia Dortmund from Bayer Leverkusen in 2019 and to date has made 88 appearances and contributed 11 goals in all competitions for the Bundesliga club.
