Venezia In Negotiations Regarding The Transfer Of Lazio's Midfielder
Newly promoted Serie A club Venezia is reportedly in negotiations regarding the transfer of Lazio's Moroccan midfielder Sofian Kiyine this summer. The player has just returned from a loan spell at Salernitana.
As reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, 23-year-old Moroccan midfielder Sofian Kiyine has just returned from a loan spell at Salernitana and is currently undergoing pre-season training at Formello and hopes to be called up for pre-season alongside the rest of his team-mates under the tutelage of coach Maurizio Sarri at Auronzo in Cadore.
Kiyine, who is still under contract with Lazio until 2024, made 13 appearances in Serie B last season with Salernitana for a total of 683 minutes, in that period he contributed one assist. While with The Aquile since being recruited from Chievo in 2019, the midfielder has never appeared for the Italian capital club.
Venezia's management and their coach Paolo Zanetti are fans of the 23-year-old midfielder's services and are currently in negotiations with the Biancoceleste over the player's transfer this summer.
Kiyine will most likely be released on loan even though there is a chance that Venezia may sign him permanently. The Arancioneroverdi has been absent from Serie A since being relegated in 2002 and even plunged into Serie D bankrupt before finally returning to compete in the Serie A again this year.
