Marseille Is Interested In Lazio's Escalante
Olympique de Marseille continues to work hard during this summer transfer window. After having formalized three arrivals (Balerdi, Gerson, and Konrad), Pablo Longoria would be in discussions to recruit the 28-year-old midfielder Gonzalo Escalante according to information from Sky Sport Italia. Currently in contract with SS. Lazio until June 2024, his versatility would appeal to the president of OM.
He would be the third Argentinian to join the Marseille club after the recruitment of central defender Leonardo Balerdi and the possible arrival of Cagliari striker Giovanni Simeone.
Gonzalo Escalante comes out of a great record at Lazio with 30 appearances (1 goal) for his first season, including 24 in Serie A and 4 in the Champions League, after five years in La Liga, on the side from Eibar.
On the other hand, Lazio is also targeting Marseille midfielder, Boubacar Kamara. OM will be able to include Kamara when they are negotiating with Lazio for Escalante deal.
