Luiz Felipe: "I Want To Stay At Lazio For 10 Or 15 Years"
Lazio's new season has begun under the guidance of Maurizio Sarri. The Biancocelesti have been at work for several days in the Auronzo di Cadore training camp to find full physical shape in view of the Serie A 2021/22. For the moment only Correa, Immobile and Acerbi are missing. The other players are all there with three new faces: Hysaj, Kamenovic and Felipe Anderson.
Today, Luiz Felipe presented the new season at a press conference, answering numerous questions. The Brazilian defender posted a post on Instagram in front of the microphones adding: "Always smile".
"I'm fine, on vacation I trained to make a good retreat. Now I want to continue to feel good in the first championship."
"At the beginning it is difficult, because playing three back-line for five years and then switch to four back-line is not easy. We work every day, the movements are different, at the beginning it takes a bit of effort but we will get to do what the coach asks. I played four in Brazil, but I haven't done it for many years."
"Sarri? One of the best in Italy and Europe, he asks us to give everything. Inzaghi was here for five years, he won. I thank him because he is a great coach, but he is the past and now we focus on what Sarri is asking."
Then he comments about the goalkeepers: "They give us a great hand. Reina has more experience, but Thomas is also a great goalkeeper who has given everything for the team. It doesn't change anything who is in goal."
"Acerbi? We wrote to him, now he is on vacation and we are waiting for him in Formello."
He then continue to comment about his withdrawal on Olympic selection: "I'm sorry not to go, but I made the choice to be okay. Going there I wouldn't have been 100%, I preferred to stay and work to have the best season since I've been here."
"Felipetto is a brother to me, everyone knows his qualities, he always made me feel like one of the family, I hope he can give everything because he is a great footballer. I think he will do great things here."
And at last he mention about his renewal: "Of course I want to stay. I'm fine here, I feel at home, I leave the renewal to my agent and to Tare. I want to stay here for many years, because wearing this shirt is special, I can stay 10 or 15 years. I want to win with this shirt and then maybe get to Brazil, but before the national team I have to do well here."
