Luis Alberto's Desire To Leave Lazio Can Be Hampered By One Thing
It is reported that Luis Alberto's desire to leave his club Lazio will not be easy because of the high price charged by the Bianconceleste to release the Spaniard.
Still absent from Lazio's pre-season training session for three lucky days, the fate of the Spanish midfielder, Luis Alberto, is a big question mark. The new coach of Biancoceleste, Maurizio Sarri is still waiting for the player's return and demands that the Spaniard explain why he still hasn't arrived for pre-season training.
Like many reports from the media, including La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Alberto most likely indicated that he no longer wanted to continue his contract with Lazio. There has been no explanation whatsoever from the former Liverpool retainer regarding his absence from the club's pre-season training and Sarri has also not been able to provide certainty when or whether the player will return to the club.
Alberto's uncertain situation has made him currently being monitored by several European clubs, including Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Sevilla, and AC Milan, including several teams that are interested in the player. However, if the 28-year-old player wants to leave the club that has made his name, the steps will not be easy.
This is because his contract is still valid until 2025 at the Olympico stadium, thus making I Biancoceleste will ask for a price in the range of 50 million to 60 million Euro for the Spanish midfielder. Although the interest of the player is considered to be the top European teams, it is still very difficult for them to spend that much money during the current pandemic.
Not only that, Alberto's age, which is about to enter 29 years, certainly makes him unable to be a long-term investment for any team. Although the quality of the creative midfielder is unquestionable, it will still be difficult to expect anyone to be willing to sign him at a very high price.
A very possible option is the exchange of players involved, especially since Lazio also certainly needs a new additional player. One thing is for sure, the management of Biancoceleste hopes that the situation regarding one of their star players can be resolved soon.
