Lazio Must Immediately Sell Correa To Fund Transfers This Summer
Lazio is rumored to have to complete the sale of Joaquin Correa if they are to continue pursuing their target player this summer. The Argentine international striker has become a target for Ligue 1 giants, PSG.
According to reports by Italian newspaper Corriere Dello Sport, Joaquin Correa wants to leave the Italian capital club but Lazio President Claudio Lotito is unwilling to lower his asking price, making it difficult for interested clubs to secure his services.
The Biancoceleste set a transfer value of 35 million euros for the 26-year-old Argentine striker. One of the interested clubs who are actively monitoring Correa's situation is Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain who have offered Spanish winger Pablo Sarabia and 18 million Euros to secure his services.
The news further revealed that president Lotito needed funds as soon as possible so that he could invest them by bringing in new players in the market this summer. The Aquile hopes to finalize the sale of Correa in the next few days otherwise the deal with PSG is in danger of falling apart and keeping the player at Roma.
Correa was signed from Sevilla in 2018 and so far has made 117 appearances and contributed 30 goals in all competitions for the Italian capital team. He was one of The Aquile's star players in the Simone Inzaghi era, but he was considered not suitable with the new tactic that would be implemented by the new coach, Maurizio Sarri.
