Lazio Hunting Wolfsburg Winger

Lazio is looking for an offensive winger to deliver to Maurizio Sarri.  The casting has been going on since the start of the transfer market and for the moment Felipe Anderson has arrived.  The Tuscan technician, however, needs at least one more.

Lazio's first choice for the role of winger is always Julian Brandt, but Borussia Dortmund for the moment only wants to sell him outright and not on loan with the right of redemption.  For this reason, as reported by the Corriere Dello Sport, the sports director Igli Tare would be thinking of some alternatives. 

The name rebounded in the last hours is that of Josip Brekalo 25-year-old left-winger of Wolfsburg with the contract expiring in 2023. The Croatian can also play on the right and has perfect characteristics for Maurizio Sarri's 4-3-3.  To sink the final blow for a player, however, Lazio needs to sell an important piece due to the liquidity index.

Josip Brekalo has so far scored four goals in 27 senior games for Croatia and plays mainly on the left side of the attack, as he uses his right foot.  Although he can also be played as a right-winger.

During the 2020/2021 season, he has also shown that his form has matured at the age of 23, scoring seven goals and providing four assists for Wolfsburg in 33 competitive games.
