Lazio And Atalanta Compete To Secure Josip Brekalo's Service
Lazio and Atalanta are reportedly competing for Josip Brekalo's services this summer. The winger wants to leave Wolfsburg for a transfer value of 15 million euros plus bonuses.
According to reports by German media, Lazio and Atalanta target Josip Brekalo intends to leave Wolfsburg for a current transfer fee of 15 million euros plus bonuses. The Croatia international only turned 23 last month and is primarily on the left but can also be placed on the right.
Earlier reports from Italian media Sportitalia revealed that the Biancoceleste were preparing to approach to get Brekalo's services. Now the latest news as reported by German newspaper Kicker claims Atalanta is also in the hunt for his services, but the two Serie A clubs are also facing competitors from abroad.
Sevilla, Real Betis, and Real Sociedad from Spain are also monitoring the situation of the player who forced him to leave this summer, although no interested club has yet agreed to pay him 15 million euros plus bonuses.
Josip Brekalo has made 27 caps for the Croatian senior team where he has scored four goals and provided five assists for his teammates. While his contract with the Bundesliga club will last until June 2023 after being recruited from Dinamo Zagreb in 2016, although he also had a loan period at VfB Stuttgart in 2017.
