Italian Journalist Claims Inter Milan Is Seriously Considering Felipe Caicedo

Italian journalist Niccolo Ceccarini said that the search for a new striker for Romelu Lukaku back-up has now turned to Lazio striker Felipe Caicedo.

The search for a new striker for vice-Romelu Lukaku has now turned to Felipe Caicedo.  According to an Italian journalist, Niccolo Ceccarini, Inter's opportunity to get the player from Ecuador is wide open in line with Biancoceleste's new transfer policy.

In his review published on Tuttomercatoweb.com, Ceccarini assesses that Inter's transfer strategy, for now, is to look for additional strikers, especially if the Nerazzurri let Andrea Pinamonti go this summer.

The 22-year-old is currently trying to be released on loan and is very much open to a permanent transfer.

Inter slightly benefited because Caicedo's contract will expire in the summer of next year.  This will make the price of the Caicedo slightly cheaper.

Another fact is that the former Manchester City player is one of the players that coach Simone Inzaghi suggested as a reserve for Romelu Lukaku, and both of them already understand each other so that the adaptation process will run more easily.

Besides Caicedo, Inter is still considering bringing back Keita Balde from AS Monaco.  Ceccarini claims that both of them are on the list of players who can be positioned as alternatives to Romelu Lukaku.
