22 Lazio Players Returned From Loans At Various Clubs This Summer

As many as 22 Lazio players are reported to have returned from loan spells this summer at various clubs, this condition forced the club to immediately decide their future under coach Maurizio Sarri.

As reported by Transfermarkt, 22 Lazio players returned to Rome last week after their loan contracts with various clubs in Italy and across Europe expired.  The transfer value of the 22 players is estimated at around 21 million euros, and the most expensive players are defender Denis Vavro (4 million euros) and left-back Jony (2.2 million euros).

The full list of 22 players who returned from loan this summer is as follows:

3. 22 years old striker, Bobby Adekanye from ADO Den Haag

4. 23 years old midfielder, Sofian Kiyine from Salernitana

5. 27 years old left-back, Riza Durmisi from Salernitana

6. 21 years old midfielder, Biagio Morrone from Calcio Foggia 1920

7. 22 years old center-back, Jorge Silva from Boavista Porto FC U23

8. 26 years old full-back, Jordan Lukaku from Royal Antwerp

9. 21 years old striker, Andre Anderson from Salernitana

10. 24 years old goalkeeper, Marius Adamonis from Salernitana

11. 21 years old defender, Luca Falbo of US Viterbese 1908

12. 25 years old winger, Cristiano Lombardi from Salernitana

13. 29 years old winger, Jony from Osasuna

14. 25 years old midfielder, Tiago Casasola from Salernitana

15. 23 years old midfielder, Fabio Mastro from Salernitana

16. 21 years old center-back, Sergio Kalaj from US Grosseto

17. 21 years old center-back, Nikolaos Baxevanos from ACSM Politehnica Iasi

18. 24 years old striker, Alessandro Rossi from US Viterbese 1908

19. 19 years old goalkeeper, Mattia Marocco of US Adriese 1906

20. 26 years old winger, Emanuelle Cicerelli from Salernitana

21. 24 years old striker, Cedric Gondo from Salernitana

22. 23 years old midfielder, Patryk Dziczek from Salernitana.

Nine of the 22 players returned from their loan spell at promoted Salernitana given the complicated situation between the two clubs means the Biancoceleste will not allow any transfers for the foreseeable future although it is not clear for how long.

While the sheer number of players returning from their loan spells could be problematic as Simone Inzaghi has left, and the Aquile have appointed Maurizio Sarri, most of them will get a chance to prove themselves in front of the 62 years old Italian this summer.

If of the 22 players called up by Maurizio Sarri including Denis Vavro to take part in the pre-season training session they will take the opportunity if they want to play for Lazio in the 2021/22 season.
